1961 Maserati 3500 GTi Vignale Spyder

This classic Maserati 3500 GT injezione Vignale Spyder is one of only 227 classic Maserati convertible produced. It is a pristine examples of the desirable second series of this classic Maserati model featuring front and rear disc brakes and a 5 speed ZF gearbox while the first series had only front disc brakes and a 4 speed gearbox.

This classic Maserati has undergone an open checkbook ground up restoration performed by the best specialist shops in Europe. The body and mechanics were restored by Bachelli & Villa in Modena, Italy. The Hardtop was commissioned to Auto Sport, also located in Modena and built at a cost of 40,000 Euro alone.

While the factory Hardtops were produced in fiberglass (Gfk) this hardtop is built in aluminum but to the exact specifications of the optional factory hardtops. The interior was done by Lupi, by far the best Italian shop for classic car leather interiors. The engine and Lucas fuel injection were fully rebuilt by a Maserati specialist in Austria. The car has seen only very little use since completion of the extensive restoration.
